Salote Bulitavu felt humbled, blessed and privileged after she was badged Adi Cakobau School (ACS) head girl yesterday.
The Dogotuki lass from Macuata Province is the daughter of Opposition Member of Parliament, Mosese Bulitavu and she aspires to be like her father one day.
Salote, 17, despite being given the responsibility to lead the school’s student council feels there is a big shoe to fill.
The eldest of six siblings said being able to set a good example to her siblings and the school would be her priority.
“This responsibility will certainly not be easy, sometimes there will be trying times but I will thrive to stay on,” Bulitavu said. “But you’ll have to sometimes stand your ground and do what is right,”
